God Is The Wind

"Serenbe" from flickr

It's wild wind night on Miami Beach. Like a hurricane only no rain just driving wild wind that is slamming me around. I tried to walk but wow, the wind is just overwhelming.

A long day of Wuji, movement, 5 elements practice -- met some great acupuncturists from Gainesville and Orlando. Did some ReUnion sessions on people. Ate dinner in a tiny Columbian restaurant. Good people. My energy is settling and changing. I am getting free of some bonds that have been troubling me.

*sigh* Good stuff this. My eyes are red for some reason. Some kind of strange detoxification.

In the 5 elements practice, at the Earth element, all my loved ones rose up in front of me as an expression of the earth. This is what holds us on earth - we "earth" each other. We are each other's reason to be here. Then came the Ancestors. A parade of people and places.

As I walk in the wind I thought of God as the wind - what might He/She be showing me? When I thought of prayer to something or someone "Out There" it didn't make sense. Everything is happening up close. God is what is buffeting me, demanding that I stand and stop resisting what is coming at me. Is it a storm or a cleansing or a gift ? Is it stripping things away in an action of loss and demand, or is it bringing me what has been necessary ?

Listening to the stories of so many people tells the same story again and again. What a magical and strange world ! Everything is available right here for this journey.

"Of all the pitfalls in our paths and the tremendous delays and wanderings off the track I want to say that they are not what they seem to be. I want to say that all that seems like fantastic mistakes are not mistakes, all that seems like error is not error; and it all has to be done. That which seems like a false step is the next step."

Good night -- glad to have WIFI here-- Beatriz said "Do they have High 5 here ?" She's not much into computers. And she's Argentinian. I said, "NO, it's WIFI" - and she said, "What the hell is high 5 or WIFE EYE or whatever ?"
